Our Rattan Furniture

To keep your rattan looking fab, wipe over regularly with a damp cloth, this rejuvenates the rattan and keeps it looking new and to remove scuff marks clean with eucalyptus oil and a dry cloth. Don't position your piece over a heater or air conditioning vent.

Use a toothbrush or other soft brush to clean in the cracks and crevices.

To restore dry, cracked, or split rattan, apply boiled linseed oil with a brush. When the furniture won’t absorb any more oil, wipe it clean with a soft cloth. Allow it to dry or harden before using the rattan again.

Rattan is not suitable for outdoor use.

Velvet Cushions & Throws

Due to the delicate nature of velvet, dry cleaning is recommended for big spills and stains. Water and liquid can stain velvet easily and needs to be dealt with quickly. Soft blot with a dry cloth, taking care to avoid rubbing and putting pressure on the fabric. Once you’ve blotted the surface, use a hairdryer at a safe distance to lightly dry the affect area to avoid marking. Finish by brushing the pile to avoid matting.

Regular care will keep the velvet looking good and as a result will enhance the unique look. If you’re velvet has lost its sheen, try using a steamer on the reverse to fluff-up the fibres. When brushing the fabric, ensure you are following the same direction to keep the pile looking uniform.

Glass Top Tables

Avoid dragging sharp or rough objects across glass. Use adhesive felt pads, trivets, coasters and placemats to help prevent scratches.

Avoid harsh, abrasive cleaners and do not use scrapers or razor blades to clean glass.
Clean using a soft, dry micro fiber cloth and glass cleaner. Wipe dry.
Upholstered Seating Cushion Care

To ensure your Love Tree fabric keeps looking fabulous for longer, position it away from direct sunlight.

We recommend using scotch guard or a fabric protector as a stain repellent.

Spot clean using a mild water-free solvent or dry cleaning product.
Avoid scrubbing, hard bristle brushes or any other abrasive cleaning method. In many cases, spills, stains and marks that are not cleaned within a few hours can become permanent. By protecting your fabric as soon as possible after delivery and it will make much easier to clean if accidental spills occur.

Out Door Furniture & Fabrics

With a soft brush and/or cloth, remove any debris from furniture.

Remove cushion covers and wash with mild detergent in warm gentle machine wash.

Please do not use a power washer (pressure hose) to clean or rinse your Love Tree outdoor furniture. Do not clean your poly rattan furniture with any bleaching agents.

Apply a spray-on protection at least once every season to maintain the weather resistant properties.

Recycled Timber

All TFLT’s recycled timber products are made from kiln dried mixed timbers such as rubber tree, truck beds, wood pallets and recycled teak. The kiln drying process dries the timber evenly and in a controlled environment, limiting fluctuations in moisture content. It has a slightly honey tinted wax finish. To keep your recycled timber piece looking fabulous, use a water based cleaning agent. Use natural beeswax to polish the surface every 3 months. Don’t position your piece over a heater or air conditioning vent, wipe spills immediately, do not place hot items directly on the surface. Do not position directly in sunlight.

Wallpaper

We highly recommend having our wallpaper professionally installed for pristine pattern alignment.
To clean, wipe with a soft, damp (water only) cloth.
You may remove dust using the brush attachment of a vacuum or a micro fiber sweeper.
Do not clean with harsh chemicals and detergents as they may damage the pattern.

Marble

Our marble is sealed, but stone is a naturally porous material. Wipe spills immediately.
Hand wash only with mild soap. To avoid spots, dry immediately with a soft cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Brass

Over time the polished brass will develop a rich natural patina.
Use a micro fiber cloth to buff out fingerprints.
Ever 2 months, polish with brass cleaner. Use a cloth to gently rub cleaner all over your brass item.
Buff the brass to a shiny finish.
