A calm reprieve from the commotion of the iconic Chapel St. precinct. Kookaburras Kanteen, as the name suggests, was to be inspired by a deep and nostalgic appreciation for Australia's native flora and fauna.
Nestled within a heritage-listed Victorian building (est. 1886), the space connects the history and cultural significance of the site whilst offering something unexpected and unique.
The soft morning palette, bold Victorian formal gestures and playful mix of patterns, textures and materials come together to offer a contemporary space which feels authentic, unpretentious and deeply rooted in the Australian vernacular.
