The year is 2012, Love Tree Interiors has just put down roots at our first store in Victoria Street, Richmond. Founded on an aesthetic of lush bohemia with a distinctly modern twist, it would be our rattan Peacock range that initially put us on the map (and would become our first sale when our website launched!).
Since then we’ve had 3 different stores Richmond, Hawksburn and our current home in Chapel St, Prahran and while our location may have changed, we still pride ourselves on crafting beautiful vintage-inspired furniture and homewares, that harness the best of contemporary style and sustainable craftsmanship.
Now for a trip down memory lane. Here are our best sellers over the last 10 years…
2012 | The Peacock Chair
Our signature piece, the Peacock Chair is still to this day one of our best sellers. Inspired by the infamous and iconic piece of the 70’s, this rattan statement piece has brought some love to many homes over the past decade.
2013 | The Belle Light Shade
In 2013 we looked up and expanded our range into lighting, with the Belle Light Shades. Available in a variety of sizes and colours, the woven rattan statement shades were lighting up homes all over Australia.
2014 | The Peacock Cabinet
We soon learnt that the intricately woven rattan Peacock style translated beautifully into other whimsical pieces such as the Peacock Bed Head and Cabinet. The Peacock Cabinet is still available to order today in custom colours.
2015 | The Petal Bedhead
Our bed heads were making it big, so in 2015 we branched out into other styles. A botanical dream, the rattan Petal Bed Head was gracing bedroom scenes from kiddy corners to an adult oasis.
2016 | The Rising Sun Daybed
We like to think we’re responsible for bringing back the love of a good day bed (ey, we did spark the rattan revival!). The summer of 2016 saw the introduction of the Rising Sun Day Bed. Spotted on the verandas of countryside homes and in the sunrooms of inner-city terraces. These days, our day beds go out just as quickly as they come, so if you’ve had your eye on one, you better get in quick.
2017 | The Palm Springs Bedhead 2017
An evolution of the Rising Run collection, the Palm Springs Bed Head was inspired by a Californian buying trip of Love Tree founder, Katie Graham. A unique and handcrafted rattan design of entangled palm leaves.
2018 | Carrington Daybed
2018 and day beds were still a must-have. Cue the Carrington Day Bed – a piece a little more glam than perhaps we’d ever done before. With custom cushions, made in Melbourne, this piece was very much loved by all.
2019 | Latitude Single Cabinet
In 2019 we launched one of our most popular collections of all time, Latitude. The hero piece of the year was the Latitude Single Cabinet. Designed with a new style of natural rattan weave, brass hinges and turned timber knobs, this piece was the perfect storage solution for all areas of the home.
2020 | Curve 3 Seater
2020 was about change, and at Love Tree we also decided to mix things up – our debut, fully upholstered Parker Range was born. The range consisted of velvet and boucle dining chairs, ottomans and the beloved Curve 3 Seater.
2021 | Medusa Dining Chair
Another star piece of the Parker range is the Medusa Dining Chair. These chairs made it big after being spotted in Project X’s Goldie reno, and in the sophisticated Dame Bar, Melbourne. Only available in limited colours, we’ll soon be launching the next drop online, available for a Spring pre-order.
2022 | Vogue Chair Caramel
This year we turned things upside down and all-around, with our Vogue Swivel Chair. Available in four gem hued corduroy fabrics, this sunken style armchair will have you falling in love all over again. We’ve completed the look with the matching ottoman, just calling for you to put your feet up.
